Mike Po found his passion for cooking while working in sushi restaurants and studying marketing in university. “My degree has found use through social media,” Mike says. “I market the menu items using Instagram and Facebook. I post dishes and varied creations that I come up with.” Mike especially has fun with seasonal items on social media: for Halloween a fake severed hand surrounded by sushi was a particularly popular post.
“I get randomly creative for different seasons and occasions,” Mike says. “They are safe to eat (except for the fake hand) and if a customer asks during a slow time, I’ll make it for them. I’ve done Finding Nemo, Olaf from Frozen, and a lot more.”
