Taste of Edmonton is a chance to enjoy a huge variety of gourmet food from some of the best restaurants in Edmonton and beyond. Booths take over Sir Winston Churchill Square for days, bringing thousands of Edmontonians together. In 2013, the festival introduced Sip and Savour, a tent where you can enjoy food and wine, plus culinary demonstrations, workshops and a speciality food market. This year's festival takes place July 21 to 30, 2016.

Exercise instructors lead lunchtime Zumba classes and other workout groups in the middle of the square. There’s always music playing and kids running around. Churchill Square truly is an attraction simply because it is alive – the people, the fountain, the movement and the laughter – these are the things that bring people out for an afternoon in the square.

It’s fueled by a lot of community involvement and is a great activity to attend as a family, with a friend, or even just a date. It features local Edmonton restaurants from all over the city, all conveniently placed in one place! The Lingnan’s dry spicy chicken is definitely a crowd favourite and is a popular item every year! This year’s festivities take place July 21 to 30, 2016.
