Patrick Chee, owner of Dots Photography, wears many hats. He divides his time between design and printing, photography and spending time with his young son. His design and printing business grew over the years and naturally branched into photography when his clients, many of whom were restaurant-owners, started requesting food photos in 2005.
After the birth of his son, Patrick began photographing newborns, children and families. Today, his line of business includes all of the above, plus wedding and engagement photos, maternity and special events.
However, his first love remains his favourite. “My favourite subject to photograph is food,” says Patrick. “I also really enjoy photographing babies and children.” Patrick finds it rewarding to see his commercial photos, “all over [a client’s] menu, their shop and their advertisements…”
Dots Photography has a booth at the central Super Flea market where clients can buy camera equipment and also register for photo sessions. Patrick also offers on-site photos at clients’ homes, as well as outdoor or studio sessions.
