Edmonton Humane Society

We adopted our first two Dogs from the EHS and were always very happy with the screening process. We also had two of our dogs in some of the classes offered at the Humane Society and were very happy with those as well. I feel very grateful that we have such a beautiful facility to care for the dogs, cats, bunnies and other creatures great and small that the Humane society takes in.

I had an appointment to adopt a dog. I was told to bring all people and dogs in my home. When we got there we were told the dogs couldn't come into the building, "leave them in the car with AC running" a staff member told us. It was over 30 and extremely hot. I told the interviewer no so our meeting was cancelled and I didn't get the dog.

They used to be amazing back in 2009. At that time they had knowledgeable people that really wanted to help make you and your new friend as comfortable as possible. In 2021, that is no longer the case. Those teen age kids they have now make you feel like you are on trial and one slight thing they don't like will lead to them ruining the whole deal, wrongfully. They are very condescending and go based on advice that simply is not correct if not downright harmful to your pet(s).

not being straight forward with my dogs health problems when we adopted her :) really love having to pay thousands for surgery , you call yourself a rescue? No, no one stepped on her foot and caused a limp for a few days she has ACL problems and shes had them since before she was in your care and we know that now . How about when I called and you wouldnt listen to me because we already signed the papers? When your animals have health issues be straight forward so they can go to a fitting home

This place does not care about animals or people they are out to Solicit funds from the poor people who care about animals They offer you nothing
