Meet The Staff Head Pro: Norm (Stormin') Jackson 'Stormin' Norm Jackson joined the Cowichan Golf and Country Club in 1990 after serving the Edmonton Golf and Country Club and the Nanaimo Golf Club. An apprentice of the well known golfing character, Bob Kidd, Norm Jackson was named the best pro in British Cloumbia in 1993 by the BCPGA. Stomin's mandate at the CGCC is as General Manager of the Proshop and repair ship, business administrator and teacher. The club has seen considerable growth through the nineties and early twenty-first century and serves young and old alike in the Cowichan Valley. 1997 BCPGA Merchandizer of the year 2002 Ping Regional Club Fitter of the year 2003 Ping Region Fitter of the year 2004 Ping Region Fitter of the year 2005 Ping National Fitter of the year PGA of BC's Best Golf Shop of the year 2008 Associate Pro: Dave Grisdale Dave Chili Grisdale joined Norm's ProShop in 2002 and is a graduate of the Golf Management Program as well as a certificate in Business Management from Camosun College. Dave fulfilled his Class A certification which recognizes him as an Associate Professional of the CPGA. He has completed his Coaching levels 1-4 from the CPGA Teaching Certification Program. Dave was nominated for the BCGA Junior Golf Promoter of the year in 2004 Gabriola Pro-Am and also Co-Winner of the Cowichan Hospital Pro-Am 2005 with a score of 65. Dave's time at Cowichan Golf and Country Club is shared between private, semi-private, group lessons and youth camps as well as club fitting, club repair and retailing. Prior to golfing Chili was an accomplished athlete in a variety of sports including softball (fast pitch) where he won the BC Championship in 1986 and 1987 with the port Albemi A'S and also played with the notable Victoria Payless Team from 1991 to 1993 participating in the International SoftBall Congress.
