Started in 2004 byAlfred Muma, a wellknown local artist, the Tour featured individual artists and galleries in 20+ locations from Lang Bay to Lund. Visitors were able to see the diversity and excellence of the art community in the Powell River region and, as an added bonus, some spectacular, natural beauty along the way.Each year the Tour was organized by a few volunteers who put in their time and effort to promote the region as an art community as well as the individual participating artists and artisans. The committee members are Alfred Muma , Richard Benson , Vi Isaac andBrenda Neal l with Lowell Morris taking responsibility for sponsorships.We like to think the Tour will be missed by the 200+ people who enjoyed it every year.In order for local artists and artisans to continue to have a venue to showcase their work, the Powell River Arts Council chose to work with Coast Cultural Alliance , a nonprofit organization that sponsors the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl. more...
