Lisa Eccleshall has been fascinated with hair for as long as she can remember. As a little girl she watched her mother cutting hair at her home-based salon. Inspired by her mother, Lisa smiles and recalls how she progressed from giving her dolls haircuts to cutting her friends’ hair in high school.
Her mother’s advice was to steer clear of the business, as she was concerned it would not be lucrative; however, Lisa knew she had found her calling and, encouraged by her husband Clive, opened Ask Hair Studio on Steveston’s waterfront in 2006.
The couple designed Ask Hair Studio from the ground up. The bright and airy salon features a grey slate floor, high ceilings and chairs spaced a generous distance apart.
