Long’s Noodle House, a tiny Riley Park gem for Chinese cuisine, often has a long lineup stretching out the door thanks to its stellar reputation. You’ll never go wrong with the Shanghai dumplings, one of their most popular dishes. Long’s Noodle House also boasts the city's best xiaolongbao – steamed buns prepared in small bamboo baskets. Be sure to get there early or make a reservation.
Even without dumplings in the mix, Long’s is still considered one of the best restaurants in town. They have speedy friendly service, reasonable prices, a huge array of menu items and the best dumplings this side of the Pacific. If you’re not ordering pan-fried dumplings, scan the menu for “steamed mini pork buns” to find soup dumplings or you may be looking for some time. Regardless of how many you eat, you’ll want some to take home.
Small porcelain jars of drunken chicken and steaming-hot juicy soup dumplings (xiao long bao) are signature dishes here at Long’s Noodle House. The Main Street institution specializes in a wide selection of Chinese comfort food and has a homey vibe. Come early or make reservations, the restaurant is extremely small and has limited seating.
