Founded in 1984 originally as a nurse staffing company for the San Francisco Bay Area under the name Nurse Providers, the company has grown to become one of the western United States' leading home health agencies providing a full line of home health services, including in-home skilled nursing and rehabilitation, hospice care, and private duty non-medical care. In 2006, Nurse Providers, now focused entirely on home-based non-medical care, bought Ablecare, another private duty agency, and then merged with Professional Healthcare At Home, a licensed, Medicare-certified home health agency founded in 1993.
