Y-Not Foods

I never write reviews but I'll make an exception in the case. Y-Not Foods is a small, locally-owned convenience store close to the University of Winnipeg. The owners are so sweet, friendly, and helpful. They know many of their regular customers by name and go above and beyond to help people in a way that you never really see anymore. Visiting the store always brightens my day and I wish nothing but the best for the owners!

They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, they are super sweet and have my total ready before I even get what I need. Always has a smile on their faces and I love it especially since I’ve come from a small town.

Absolutely goes above and beyond to help you. I smoke a certain kind of cigarettes and when I come back to school for the next term they are going to specifically order in my cigarettes cause I’m the only one who uses them. They offered this and it just warms my heart. Also, they ask how my exams are and stuff and one day the woman gave me free candy to help study. Just over all amazing service and I love them so much. So nice to strangers!

They have a $5 minimum for MasterCard which is fine, they're a small store I get it. However even when you're above the $5 minimum they still want you to pay debit. I don't even remember my debit pin since I use credit all the time so I just left since they wouldn't let me pay credit card despite being over the minimum. Very rude service.
