Poor Customer Service / Refused to repair damage

I had my Birkenstock sandals re-soled at this place. That job was done well. However, during the repair the leather upper was damaged and the owner refused to repair it, claiming that the damage was like that before I took the sandals in. It would have taken him only a few minutes and a bit of glue to repair. Initially, I was impressed from the quick service. But overall, the poor customer service and refusal to own up to the damage cause will result in me taking my business elsewhere.
