Not worth the money. Really not worth it. Pizza was noting to be excited about.
Great experience, great food and service, will visit again for sure, the pies are amazing and big can serve 2 people, and the flavors are exquisite, our server was very funny and made for a very fun evening.
I dine frequently at Pie and it is by far my fave restaurant in Barrie. There aren't many places you can go in this city where everything is fresh and made from scratch. The service is always friendly, and you can tell the staff genuinely enjoy their jobs. On top of the food and service being excellent, the atmosphere is always fun. Where else can you go that has music videos playing on the wall? I highly recommend visiting Pie, you will NOT be disappointed!
I went to Pie last weekend for my first time, and I will tell you, I can't believe I have been missing out on this place! I know that I am going to quickly become a regular here! They were PACKED (of course!) so the hostess suggested we go to the bar for a drink and they would get us when our table was ready. Some people may get fussy when told there is a wait, but we know its just a sign that the restaurant is fantastic. We waited about 15 minutes and had a nice glass of wine (bar had a great selection!) and were taken to our table by a friendly hostess. The server was busy but she was still attentive and very warm and accommodating! She was very helpful in suggesting menu items we might like after asking us what we usually liked on pizza. We had the slow and low, the chicken pie and the porky pie, all which she had recommended and they were to die for!! All the servers were happy and friendly and looked like they genuinely enjoyed working there! The guys working on pizza had an audience of children watching them and were so funny and playful, which was a real treat to watch. We were so blown away by the delicious food and how fun the atmosphere was, we will be back, every week if i get my way!
This is one of Barries best pizza joints. That being said, if you like generic thick crust greasy pizza that you get under a hut, then Pie is not for you. Pie is thin crust, wood fire baked, fresh toppings and original ideas. There are probably a dozen specialty pizzas, each one completly diffrent then the last. I have been at least 6 times ( which I can not say for any other restaurant in Barrie) Always great, always fresh, good atmosphere, great staff. ( all the girls seem to be into yoga). Try a porky pie, when you go. The wife really likes there pasta as well. Good selection of micro brews on tap.
Just had a wonderful lunch at Pie Wood Fired Pizza Joint and felt compelled to share my experience! I went with a colleague on our lunch break and were both very pleased with our meals and service. We were met promptly at the front door by our very friendly waitress who sat us, and got our drink order. She returned with our beverages, we placed our or order, and within a few minutes our appetizers were brought out to the table. The salty balls are to die for! As a main course we shared the veggie pie, on whole wheat crust. The pizza was fantastic. Loaded with veggies and cheese, and exactly what I was in the mood for. The service was great, the atmosphere was very welcoming, and the food was outstanding. I will definitely be returning in the future! Kudos to Pie on a job well done!!
The pizza we ordered from the regular menu was nothing like it was described. We could barely find ANY cheese at all and on top of that the pizza was not even hot. It did not taste anywhere as good as we expected it to be coming from 'the best pizza joint in town'. We kindly informed the waitress of our dissatisfaction and her response was "Well we don't put a lot of cheese on any of our pizzas". She went to the bar to tell a coworker about us and for the next few minutes we got glares from the both of them. For the remainder of our visit, the girls kept talking and looking at us so I asked to speak to the manager (who never came to apologize about the pizza). The manager turned out to be the gossip buddy of our waitress, so I told her to forget my request to speak with her and she automatically rasied her voice and eyebrows and said "Excuse me?!?" with an extremely rude attitude, which I found to be very innappropriate in front of my children. In short, we received the worst customer service ever. The "Manager" spoke about customers with her employees in plain view of everyone, she did not apologize or even come over to the table when we were not happy with our food, she had an extremely rude attitude, and had no clue what she was doing as a manger. The waitress was also very rude, not saying "thank you" or even "you're welcome" when we thanked her...she just walked away looking very unhappy with her life. On the other hand, the hostess at the front was extremely friendly and polite, and we truly enjoyed the Tomato soup...but I definitely won't be coming back to this place again based on the poor service we received from the waitress and manager. I suggest that they get retrained on what good customer service really is!
The location of this restaurant is not the greatest but the pizza is to die for. The meal was inexpensive and the service was good.
they have a really good menu and service was fast and friendly.
