Sushi was ok but wasnt something Id rave over Fortinos sushi is better. The waitress brought our drinks with her hand over the top of the glass touching the straws and lemon. Then one of the straw was falling out of the drink, she grabed it and pushed it back into the glass EWWW.!!! To top it all off they charged my 12 yrs old the price of an adult because she is tall for her age. WTH! I didnt know I was at Wonderland!!!! Overall wouldnt go back.
i loved thier tempura so much. it was crispy, warm and tasty. rolls were generally good as well. However, sushi was little fishy... service... sometimes they'd bring food fast sometimes not so much. also for our table, mutiple servers came so there was little confusion time to time. but overall it was ok.
We usually go with the kids and family friends. Everyone enjoys the food, beautiful decor, cleanliness. Service is quick and usually to par. Food is amazing, we order a huge variety and you can tell that the food is fresh. The kids love the cutlets and the skewers, no need to worry if you don't eat raw fish they have a great variety on other items. The menu has pictures it makes it so easy to order and know what to expect. Go try it and see for yourself ;o)
My boyfriend and I come here every week. We have not found a better place for sushi in the GTA. We often bring friends who enjoy it just as much as we do. The staff doesn't talk very much but they are very friendly when they do. I belive its just part of the culture and there isn't anything wrong with that, just something that you have to adjust yourself to. THe food is fantastic and if you want more they are very willing to provide you with additional order forms. There is a large variety on the menu whether its hot dishes, hand wraps, rolls, pizzas or sushi / sashimi. Over all I would recommend this place to everyone I know. It is an AYCE (All You Can Eat) for $20. Well worth the price.
This was not an enjoyable sushi meal. Our greeting was not very friendly and the servers were unattentive. The food looks good and the menu has a good selection with lots of pictures. You order by filling out a piece of paper with numbers that correspond to the picture menu. It is an AYCE meal but you only get one order slip to start. We ordered a variety of warm dishes and sushi/sashimi items. The warm dishes were decent but the sushi was a bit bland and the soy sauce was very weak, almost as if watered down. It is unlikely that we will eat here again.
So far, the best Japanese AYCE (all-you-can-eat) restaurant we've come across. We've tried and tested several, but the choices and quick service of Tokyo Maki prevail all. Quick picture menus assist guests who are new to the sushi scene, and food is fresh and delicious. (Banana tempura is a must try!) Great for couples or even big group dinners. I brought 21 family members here, and we were treated and served wonderfully in a separate and private area. The waiters are quick and hardly ever miss a step in their service.
