Milestones on Brant Street is one of the best restaurants, never mind JUST Milestones that I have been too. The food is amazing, Alex and John are the managers and they clearly have their pHDs on how to run this business. The staff are beyond accommodating....Michael, Jay, Andre, Michael, Heather, John, Jeff....I could go on and on. They always have smiles on their faces even though they are running from client to client. The new look is amazing. Rebecca
Fellow who sat us and waiter who served us were not pleasant. The four meals were mediocre. The mussels were small and tasteless. The fabric on the booth seats was very worn. Best part of the meal was the wine. Nicely, three other servers wished us a good evening as we left. We won't go back.
We ordered three prime rib dinners and one pasta dish. The pasta dish was excellent, fresh and delicious. The prime rib (all three) were overpriced and a mess. The first was ordered well done, but tasted 'tough'. The second was ordered medium, but was practically still bleeding when delivered to the table. The third was ordered medium and delivered as very pink inside. It was sent back and re-delivered, replaced by a new prime rib entree. The meat was almost 50% fat, unedible and being the chef's cut, was a waste of $27. The sides were good (except the roasted potatoes which tasted like they were soft, sweet and old) and the waitress was professional and pleasant. Unfortunately, three of the meals were unacceptable. We went to Milestones expecting to pay good money for good food, but in the end we were left wondering how an establishment dare price their meals so high. The only good thing I have to say is the staff were very accommodating and the manager was gracious enough to come to our table and apologize for the inferior food. He also omitted two of the prime rib entrees from our bill which softened the disappointment of our 'dinner out', but it's a shame that such a 'higher end' restaurant chain would not implement higher standards on their menu items. The atmosphere and decor are very nice, the staff are professional and well trained, so now here's a message for all you head office people: You need to focus on the real 'meat' of your business and get your act together when selecting quality ingredients and when pricing your menu items. You also need to recognize that your wine is very over-priced which insults diners and only makes your restaurant look cheap and greedy. Milestones is a nice looking place, but one should never judge a book by its cover as a restuarant's business is built mainly on it's reputation for good food. Please also note that your menus are bulky and too heavy to hold comfortably. If you made improvements in these areas I'd be happy to enjoy the appealing ambiance your restaurant offers.
I took my husband out for dinner on Sunday and we were looking forward to a nice time. The hostess didn't even make eye contact with us, but then looked me up and down and then took us to our table, dropped the menus on it and left without a word. The server (can't remember her name) long curly dark hair in a ponytail made a rude comment, refused to look at me, addressed my husband as sir, only responded when he thanked her and plunked my drink in front of me without looking at me. She only spoke to him and didn't wait for my responses to anything. She was an absolute idiot and my husband called her on it. He figured she thought he was paying and therefore was giving the attention to him. Big mistake. I was paying. We won't go there again. People who work in customer service should learn to be polite to the people paying to visit their establishments, especially when the people have extended every possible courtesy to you.
Went here a few months ago. The place is nice save the bar seating which is falling apart. Other than our drinks at the bar waiting for a table this night was a waste. Worst service ever, no server in sight, mains come to table before apps were cleared, same for drinks. Caesar salad was embarassing just lettuce, a few bullet hard croutons, dressing, mabye they could try a bit harder. The calamari however was ok, tender, but overwhelming spiced garnish. Burger was good, though I ordered it to play it safe. The steak was horible, over-cooked, mabye AA beef. Bottom line, WE WILL NEVER GO BACK EVER.
I actually cannot attest to the food or service in this restaurant because my companion and I could not stay long enough to even look at the menu. We commented on the loudness of the music and when the waiter couldn't even hear what we were saying to him, we knew we couldn't possibly have a conversation, so we had to leave. We found a restuarant along Plains Road, enjoyed a meal at a cost of $100.00, and were happy to spend that amount as the atmosphere and service were excellent. They had music playing but it was seasonal and a level that you could still have a pleasant conversation. We will not try Milestone's again.
My husband and I frequent many restaurants in the Halton area as we are huge fans of dinning. However, the night we decided to go to Milestones, I wish we would have stayed home. Our waiter was rude and ignorant of the menu, the food tasted like it was reheated from frozen, not to mention I had requested NO PEPPER and out comes my steak smothered in ground black pepper. To top off our delightful evening thus far, I went outside to grab gum from our car after dinner only to find I had been locked out of the restaurant..... at 10:00pm….. on a Friday night….. with people still inside...... and of course, once again, not a waiter or hostess in sight. WILL NEVER RETURN!!
you know what i hate? when you go to a restaraunt and cannot find your server anywhere. when he/she finally shows up, they rush you. the food was excellent but the service was terrible and i mean - terrible. i have been a loyal customer to this milestones location for years but i have to say i won't be returning ever again. when you go to a restaraunt, its not just about the food it has everything to do with serve as well. this restaraunt has gone down hill. i did not tip the rude server.
I recently went to milestones to enjoy a nice dinner with my boyfriend. our server said he would be right over and came back ten minutes later. the poor guy had the whole upper resturant and about 8 tables on the go. we ordered cocktails and we recieved them in a timely manner, however, my ultimate belini was missing the shot and didnt get it until twenty minutes later and by than the drinkw as melting. the server kept saying he was getting it and didnt return until that time frame. the garlic bread was delicious adn things were starting to turn around until they brought out our meals. i asked if the pesto had nuts because my bf has an allergy and the girl bringing the food gave attitude saying you should have told us before u ordered and took my boyfriends meal away. i didnt realize chicken had nuts in it. i was only asking to see if he could try my ravoli.if not than i would enjoy it myself. his meal didnt come back for another 10 minutes. i than asked for a ceasar. the server returned about 10 minutes later to tell me they were out of celeray salt and i told him i didnt care. he came back with the chicken and my drink adn than left. there was no quality check and he came over only to clear and apologize becuase everytime he walked by a table they needed something. im a manager of a retsurant and understand busy but i mean u shoudl warn ur tables before hand. The chicken was a little bit on the dry sifde but the veg and mashed potato were to die for!!!!!!!! my ravoli not so much. they tasted frozen and the sausgae were so gritty i wanted to barf!!! i think for the atomosph of the place, the food should be up to par with the enviornment! I wont be coming back ever again.
We recently visited the Milestones on Brant St for our daughter's 18th bday. We arrived and there was a wait for a table in the lounge so Ryan promptly gave us our drinks and found us a table. The suggestions that he made were perfect. My wife and I orderd the steak and shrimp and my daughter orderd the Seafood pasta. Ryan also paired a great wine with dinner, I believe it was a Syrah??? After dinner, to our supprise, the server brought my daughter a Cheese cake with a sparkler, which she loved. This was our first trip to Milestones and we will definetly return. Great service, food and atmosphere. We also enjoyed a clean and tidy table the whole night. Please give our reguards to Ryan. Thank you, J Smithson
Went for a late Valentines meal. It was very nice. Server was attentive and not overbearing as you find in some places. Helped with the restaurant being very busy. Food was excellent the garlic bread could have been a little warmer with the cheese melted a little more, or cut into thinner slices, but the taste was quite good. Both my date and I enjoyed the prime rib, cooked perfectly. The size of the meal too was excellent. No room for dessert although I am sure they would have been great too. This was my first time there for dinner, I had only been for drinks and apps after a golf game before. I look forward to going back next time I am in Burlington.
This was our first visit to Milestones. We live in St. Catharines, however we will certainly make the trip again. Unfortunately, we were seated near the front door, and it was a bit drafty, but the waitress was very attentive and the food was exceptional. I cook sea bass and salmon at home, and I would love the recipe for these dishes - this is the best way I've had them cooked!! The restaurant was extremely busy, but I still enjoyed the ambience.
Lauren our waitress was AMAZING. We have been to Milestones a dozen times this year and service/food has been bang-on every time. Our waitress Lauren recognized us the 2nd time we had her and remembered our order from a month previous. AMAZING!!! Steak cooked PERFECT everytime! Can't wait to be there for NYE.
I can't remember what I ordered the first time but it was OK. I was impressed by the kids menu, my son's meal was HUGE and healthy, a whole quarter chicken with rice so the prices seemed reasonable. The second time my meal which was breaded fish on rice was inedible and revolting as it was drowning in some kind of bitter watery broth and it was impossible to rescue the rice or soggy fish from it. Also my son ordered the exact same meal as last time and just got a drumstick, totally baffling. I complained because the meal was not cheap and I got coupons plus $$ knocked off the tab.
Great atmosphere, Super clean. Server was so friendly and efficent. Food was well worth the semi-expensive price. Great Place to Dine!
This is by far my favourite place to dine out at. Every time I go there I get something different and it always tastes amazing! It's really hard for me to try and go somewhere else for a meal just because I know how tastey it is at Milestone's! Great service, cozy atmosphere and, of course, incredible food.
Six of us, 3 couples, on our combined anniversaries, 32 years for two couples, 22 for the other, had lunch at the Victoria BC Milestones. We stayed at the beautiful Empress Hotel, and came there on the Victoria Clipper from Seattle WA. It was wonderful! Great food AND great service! Beautiful decor too! All around wonderful! Will go again and again!
Food was great. Dining room was full with 1 hour wait. So we ate in the bar. Very comfortable. Good size portions with comparable prices. Service was good, but could have asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. Overall a great experience, will go back to try the dining room.
This place makes the best caeser salad I've ever tasted! The prime rib was done just right. My girlfriend and I had a very good experience here. We were treated like gold. No complaints at all.
I have been to this Milestone's a number of times. Sometimes I've had to wait over an hour for a table (to be expected on weekends). Service has ranged from poor, to spectacular. I'm just not sure why there is such an inconsistency with both the quality of food and service. Nonetheless, I love the atmosphere, and will take my chances with the food/service b/c most of my experiences at Milestone's have been positive.
