Had a great experience at Egglicious! Ive been here a couple times and it is also great from the friendly staff to the fresh and most flavourfull food you can ever find in Toronto. They have lots of Skillet Omelettes and Lots of Lunch Items. I had my Egglicious Skillet Omelette(What a omelette with bacon, ham, chedder cheese with hollandaise sauce). My wife had the Lumberjack & she loved it. The food is amazing, The staff's are very friendly, The place is clean. Even the restaurant was packed our food came on time. Lumberjack 3eggs,bacon(perfectlly cooked),sasage, homefries(the best),pancakes, fruit, toast for $9.95(good deal). My skillet was 8.95 . (not a lot of breakfast joints have skillet omelette). I would recomend this place to anyone.. The quality of the food to price.. You won't find it anywhere in Toronto. Even our next table was saying the samething about the food. BEST BREAKFAST AND LUNCH JOINT IN THE WEST END.. Thankyou Egglicious We will come back..
The food was mediocre at best and the service practically non-existant. I ordered the hamburger/home fries/pop combo, which would seem pretty standard. It was probably the worst burger I've ever had at a restaurant - it was quite large, but size couldn't make up for the fact that it was absolutely tasteless. The home fries on the other hand were quite good. My boyfriend liked his corned beef sandwich. He'd ordered home fries with it but we had to remind the waitress to bring them. He also ordered a scrambled egg on the side which was undercooked. Service was horrible. After bringing us our food, the waitress never came back to check on us, even though the restaurant was relatively empty. Since she never returned, I couldn't ask for the pop that she forgot to bring. I ended up going to the counter myself after our meal was finished to get it. She never came to clear our table, and we didn't get a bill, so we went to the counter to pay when we were done (I guess that's standard there, but again we weren't sure, we just hadn't had any other service after our food arrived, and we were ready to leave). Upon giving us our bill, I noticed that we had been charged for the "included" pop in my combo, the same one I'd had to eventually go get myself. It was taken off the bill when I pointed it out, although I also had to remind her that the tax on that item had to be removed as well. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
My husband and I have now had breakfast twice at Egglicious. Both times we were pleasantly surprised at the food and the service. The portions are huge and even our grandkids were happy with the portions. We have passed this restaurant for several years and had never gone in before until recently. I'm so glad we did because we were very happy with the breakfasts. The fruit served on the side was a really nice touch. I would like to come back for lunch one day but honestly would say the breakfasts met our expectations and then some!
1st time at Egglicious as I had heard good things about the establishment. They are only open until the late afternoon 7 days a week. It looks like a typical hole-in-the-wall greasy spoon breakfast spot but the food was a bit better than that. The corned beef sandwich was quite good & I highly recommend it but that's where it ends. My mother ordered the pancakes with Apple strudel but when the pancakes arrived there was no strudel. The waitress came back with some orange slices instead and informed us they were out of strudel. Well orange slices are hardly a substitute for strudel. No apology from the waitress and she told us that's just the was it is. The bacon & eggs were not done to order as the bacon was ordered crispy but came quite limp and the eggs were not over hard but over easy. Now the kicker was the burger when the burger arrived it came between 2 pieces of white bread and the waitress informed us they were out of hamburger buns. My wife sent it back and had the corned beef instead. No apologies from the waitress, no offer of a discount that day or on a future visit. Maybe they were having a bad day but I was not pleased. ....and to top it all off we we're the only party in the restaurant. Maybe we shouldn't have arrived there at 2 pm. If you go to Egglicious stick to the corned beef and expect slower service and you'll be fine.
