Refused to move 2 tables together to seat 8 people although tables were right beside each other. They then lied and said the tables were bolted to the floor. So we pushed them together ourselves. Maybe they thought the fire extinguisher was bolted down too.
This is our go to place all the time for all occasions, best Italian in the city! And the service is so lovely and friendly!
Didnt even get to a table. We were a few minutes late for our reservation and our table was given away! To add insult to injury, the hostess was very rude about it. Talk about ruining our Mothers Day dinner! There are way too many good places with friendly staff to support eateries like this one. I will never go back!
My pasta prima vera was disappointing, it was like opening a can of Ragu with a few veggies on top. We have eaten at Porcinos on Hyde Park several times and loved it. Despite the same menu we did not find the same quality tonight. My wife felt similarly about her pizza.
Food/service was good for lunch. Just not sure if it's a family restaurant. It didn't seem upscale to me to not be. Here's why I rate it so low - No high chairs for little ones or change tables in the bathrooms. I had to change my kid in the cold car so the smell didn't disturb other guests (yes, you're welcome for that!) When I'm advised they have high chairs for young families, I'd consider going back (or in 18 years when I know we're all accepted from my family). Never do reviews but not having these items when opening a restaurant is almost discrimination as mothers with kids as we don't seem to be welcomed.
