It`s OK if you are in North York. Service is depends on how many people are there. Servers are friendly and helpful. Service can be slow. if you are used to sushi made by Chinese, its is good. You can eat sushi, edamame, tempura, rice,...etc. There is a variety of things to select from. Atmosphere: There are several wooden booths. No decor. Cheap tables and chairs. It`s the kind of place you go with if you are with a bunch of people for cheap drinks and sushi. Not a date.
went for ayce.. it was great!!! the booths are private and i love that. the presentation of the food was great and it all tasted awesome! never felt rushed and they didnt seem annoyed no matter how much we ordered.. i will def go back there and highly recommend!
No game playing. They gave us what we ordered. Friends from out of town wanted to try Sushi. We were in North York and after looking we stumbled into an all you can eat place. I went here a couple of years ago and remember that they had booths! And yes, they still do!! It was cold so we just decided to pay the $20 adult price premium. I personally would have preferred Baton Rouge down the street, but they wanted sushi so I went along with it. And after, I was STUFFED. I'm not the one for unlimited sushi due to a very bad previous experience in Markham where they tried to cheat us on our bill and did not bring out the food we asked for. Food I like sushi it as an appetizer, but not to make a meal out of it. I find that when sushi is good, it's hard to tell the difference between good enough and 'the best'. The food here was 'Adequate'. It was not below par like Mandarin sushi. But it wasn't the best either if I nitpicked how round the rolls are, the filling, etc. I know some really like to nit pick sushi but honestly I can't taste much of the difference once they are in that 'good' category. But no it was defiantly sushi and 'good enough' sushi, though not the freshest or best I've had. I mean.. to me.. it's like.. just sushi. I'm very passe about sushi. Mandarin sushi isn't very good at all but I still eat it and it does the job for me. The fried items were very good. I recommend the mushroom tempura. I personally like the Philadelphia rolls. Umm.. honestly I'm not a sushi person so all I can say is that the rolls weren't all round and perfect. They were stuffed a bit messy. Umm.. well just look at the pics. It tasted fine though. The stuff seemed fresh. But it wasn't 'top notch'. I've had that before and this wasn't it. So I'm going to rate it a 3. See my pics. WHY SHOULD YOU GO THERE? Here is why! 1. The service was great (under the context of unlimited sushi). They were prompt at getting us our items. (at least on a Sunday night 1.5 hours before closing with no other tables being served.. sorry.. got to keep the review in context). 2. Booths! We had a completely enclosed in booth. Please see the pic. This alone is enough to make a trip out. 3. THEY BRING YOU OUT *EVERYTHING* THAT YOU ASK FOR! The waitress came over and notified us it was 'last call' for second round because they were closing. (that is good service). The girls got a bit over zealous and on our second round they ordered a LOT of food. The waitress warned us that there is an overage charge for things we cannot finish. They still said fine. They brought us out full portions of EVERYTHING we asked for. Trust me, soups, calamari, shrimp tempura, eel, you name it. We looked at all the food and were like 'omg how are we going to finish all this!' To make a long story short we did. And we were STUFFED! We got our bill, no overage charge, everything billed fair and square. No scams. Just a fair bill, and food that we asked for. And when you throw private booths on top of that, why would you NOT want to go here?
Another thumbs up on the AYCE selection. Other sushi places around the city tend to offer a limited selection on their AYCE menu, but we were delighted with the number of options available for $20. Sashimi was a nice surprise, as were a wide selection of rolls, and even some dessert options. Like most people one here, we found the service to be just OK, we would often have to flag down our server, but hey, we were always treated well once we got her attention. I would just tell people to be a little more proactive (in a polite way) if they would like their servers attention.
Best "All you can eat" sushi joint we have found in North Toronto. Sushi is almost always fresh, decent selection of rolls. The service can be slower during peak times, but servers are always friendly.
We went with a party of 7, and had booked a table up front. Although the food was quite good, my Chinese friends told me that their seaweed was not fresh. Not a very big problem, but what did annoy us was that we had to wait for our food for a very, very long time (and this while the restaurant was not fully booked!). Small things were brought every 10 minutes, but we had to wait for almost an hour to get a big plate with different types of sushi. They also did not bring us a big number of things that we did ask for on the menu. This was a bit disappointing. The food was good, though. All you can eat menu costs 20 dollar excluding tax on weekends, and I believe a couple of dollars less during the week.
The food at my sushi is excellent. They hit the mark every time we get there; and we get there at least 2 times a month. I have to admit, their sashimi selection on the all you can eat menu is not as big as other places, but the quality is consistently high and the service is excellent.
I always try to visit this place when Im in Toronto. I frequently went to My Sushi while still living in Toronto and now that Ive moved away I havent forgotten. The quality for all you can eat is sublime and every time Ive been there I have not had a single complaint. In addition the staff was extremely friendly and can easily accommodate groups with ease. The white tuna sushi at this place is fantastic. There is alot of variety on the menu and I try to get something different every time I go. The only complaint I have is some of the maki rolls they introduce are a bit weird. I had several that used alot of cream cheese or shredded sushi salad (too much mayo) and they need to refine these.
The freshest Sushi place ever. The green salad with ginger dressing and edamame are out of this world. Also, they customize the menu for vegetarians. I would recommend that the lunch menu have a greater variety for vegetarians, but overall, this restaurant is amazing and very satisfying!
