For lunch you can enjoy our “Teahouse” menu featuring our homemade quiches, strata, salads, soups and more. For dinner our chefs create daily features in addition to a menu that offers a great selection of freshly prepared dishes. Our wait staff provides the best of service and strives to not only meet but exceed the needs of all customers.
With three dining rooms on site, we can accommodate everything from a table for 2, to a group of 80+. Private dining rooms are available for groups.
Olive’s was recently purchased by long-time staff members, Jane Huggett and Stephanie Grant, in August of 2014 when the owner, Olive Archibald, was looking to retire. And have continued to run the restaurant in very much the same way.Even more recently we have undergone some renovations and added a new Head Chef to our team. We have a fresh new look while still providing the same great quality service and food that our customers have come to expect. Our new Head Chef, Ben Andrew, brings with him a wealth of experience, knowledge and palate pleasing dishes.

the food was excellent the servers were effecient and pleasant . The settings was very nice a nice cosy setting would definetlay return, the meal was served in a timely manner
I came with a large group of girls for a formal dining experience followed by a limo ride. The atmosphere was quite pleasant, with dim lighting and pretty decor. However, it was fairly obvious that our group was the youngest group there. Age range is about 80+.
We waited a long time for our orders to be taken and were told that bread buns were coming while we waited. I ordered the mussels, which apparently are done differently everyday. I also ordered a glass of chardonnay which turned out to be very good.
After an hour, our food arrived. The mussels were cooked in a red pepper sauce that was delicious, but the mussels themselves were gritty and fishy. Grit is not something I look for in a mussel. It was also a very large bowl and I had trouble finishing them. The bread did not arrive until after our meal, even though we inquired several times about the whereabouts of said bread during our wait time.
We didn't get dessert because our limo was waiting. Overall a pleasant atmosphere and satisfactory dining experience but did not live up to my expectations of a formal meal. Unlikely to go back but would not refuse if invited. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone under the age of 80.
Olive herself greeted us at the door and lead us to this lovely dinning room. There are at least 3 dinning areas that I could see. There was a private event taking place in one on the day we were there. We looked at the menu and was shocked at how reasonable the pricing was. I think we just expected something so nice looking to be more money. It was no more than the average family franchise and our food was cooked by a chef not a microwave.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch. Looking forward to taking my family for dinner.
After a previous visit to Olive's many years ago when we were disappointed with the quality of the food, we had heard that a new chef had improved things. So, we decided to give it a try for dinner.
Once again, we were disappointed in the quality of the food for the price charged. The presentation was excellent. The fish was tasteless (previously frozen?) and the vegetables were overdone.
The staff are friendly and efficient, however for an upscale restaurant, changes are needed to the caliber of the food.
We went for lunch, and were surprised. The meals were good size and there was nothing to criticize at all. Really good meals and we would definitely go back for the food.
the ambiance felt quite outdated, it seems like they need a little makeover.
The waiters were nice, and most of the time attentive.

The service we had at Olives was friendly, quick, and for the third time going it was consistent. This restaurant sadly is one of the only dine in restaurants in Sarnia that ALWAYS uses fresh ingredients. This restaurant serves as a fine example of how food should always be prepared for the rest of Sarnia. Thank you, I will definitely be coming back and recommending Olives to others.

the service was great but the food was so bland that my dog woundn't eat it i had to bring my food home in a doggy bag and was sick as a dog when I got home so not a very good place to eat so if you want to save your money go some where else Ibeen 3 time and was notvery happy
Service was excellent and prompt but also relaxed. Food was much better this time. Steak was perfect and tasty. Escargot were wonderful. My wife's salmon was delicious and cooked to perfection (nice and moist). Wine was reasonably priced. We would go again. Compliments to the new chef and thanks to wonderful servers.
If you live in Sarnia Olives is the best place for fine dining! The food is amazing ( i recommend the Beef Sirloin), the service is great and the atmosphere is high class!

This was the absolute best meal I have ever had. The new "CHEF" is outof this world, and I will certainly recommend this restaurant to all my friends. The service, food, and atmosphere were all very pleasant, and I will be back again soon!

Wonderful lunch and always consistent. However, the dinners can vary from fabulous (best in the city to so so.)

Great atmosphere overall.
My husband & I shared our meals - both were excellent and very filling. At least half the plate of each was vegetables which is quite different from most restaurants and yet just what the dietician recommends. We were there for a 7 p.m. seating and most of the specials were already gone. We were sufficiently full by meal end that we had our desserts packed to take home and eat an hour or so later. We were welcomed to stay and order them later if we wished, so definitely no rush to move us out.
Washrooms are beautifully decorated with extra amenities.

the salmon was dry and the escargot was terrible the pork was well just not good
