Instead of landing a summer job at one of the automobile companies, he preferred to sell travel tickets to his colleagues to visit their motherland, India. At that time, for only $300.00 one could purchase a roundtrip return ticket from the USA to INDIA.With tremendous demand & unexpected success at this young age, Ashok was given the confidence to set foot and embark on a successful journey from engineering into the travel field.
