With over 15 years of experience in the film and photo industry in 3 different continents, Babak Tehrani’s diverse portfolio expands over an impressive array of both technical and creative work.

Established as a successful photographer in his native land of Iran, he and his family had to flee to Turkey because of the dark socio-political situation in the country. In Turkey, Babak not only improved on his photographical expertise and technical knowledge, but also widened his creative vision by diving into the world of film and videography.

Upon reaching his final destination and his new home in Canada, Babak strengthened his practical skills with the vast knowledge he gained by completing the production program at the Toronto Film School and by attending several other related courses and workshops at various educational institutes including George Brown College.
?Today, Babak Tehrani prides himself in having produced and directed a number of short films and television programs, which have received positive attention in film festivals worldwide. In 2015 he was nominated for best director for his short film “A Lie to Myself” at TFFSFF.
