As a young girl Visnja Tibljas loved playing dress-up, and she followed that passion right into adulthood. Enter KOKO + CO., a cool, modern hair and makeup salon that feels like the Cheers of the neighbourhood.
“I’ve been hooked on beauty ever since my mom enrolled me in modelling as a kid,” recalls Visnja, who became the go-to beauty expert for friends in school. After beauty classes, a job at Holt Renfrew and gigs on a TV set soon after, she opened her own salon. Six years after that, her large and loyal clientele followed her to her new location at St. Clair and Oakwood.
“The lease was up and I wanted to create a bigger, better salon – a modern version of who I am,” says Visnja, who pictured a calm, zen space that’s as clean as it is inviting.
