I walked in to have a quick lunch for my daughters 1st birthday, there was 6 of us, it was busy and there had been 2 tables across from each other available and we had been waiting abit and 2 groups of 2 people came in after us and the guy working there gave the tables to them and came to us and said sorry we won’t have available seating for awhile, like umm we could have token those 2 tables. I wasn’t very happy, food is good though!

Great until the end

No complaints about the service or the food, both were great. Good value for what you get. However, if you have small children, do not bring them to this so-called "family" restaurant. To the lady who stormed out of the kitchen to reprimand us at our table once we were finished our dinner: I am very sorry for the crayon on the window. My daughter is barely four years old. Perhaps we should have turned down the waitress's offer of the crayons. We hope the tip that we left will cover the cost of the windex to clean it. There was no need to speak to us so rudely. BTW, some of our fellow customers took note of your tirade, and commented to us in the parking lot about how well-behaved our children were. Needless to say, we will not be back.

Such a good place

I have lived in this town for a great many years and have traveled the globe also, eating great food. I am thrilled that this diner is so close to my home and has such a tasty menu. They even make their soups from scratch everyday. We eat here often and it's consistently very good. The meat is always quality, the burgers huge and the omelettes loaded. No trans fat either!! The place is full at dinner because everyone knows good food and a good deal. I love that people all know each other somehow and it's always so friendly. Consistent good and friendly service.

Always busy at dinner hours. Great breakfasts...

Always busy at dinner hours. Great breakfasts, lots to eat. Dinners are good, home made which is a switch from most. Menu offers a variety. The restuarant is a hit with locals and seniors. Nice simple restaurant. Clean and enjoyable.

I moved to the area about a year ago and started...

I moved to the area about a year ago and started visiting this diner almost weekly. I really enjoy going there because the prices are decent and the staff really get to know you and will even have your drinks ready before you get your coat off! The food is your typical smal town fare, good but nothing amazing. However they do have some really, really good items on the menu! Most saturdays they have a rib special that is fall of the bone good, breakfast is great (best price in area), a variety of good soups, great fried foods (chicken fingers, shrimp, FISH) and the french fries...can't find better ones. I wouldn't recommend the chicken dinner, but if you want healthy the cook the liver as near perfect as you can get. I agree parking is tight but there is more room at the front of the grocery stores lot too! And as far as the comment about the "disabled people"...how rude. I have not once had or heard of a cust. having any issues with the handful of gentlemen that frequent the diner. All they do is sit at their table and eat or drink their coffee. shame on you jeannine for having such an ignorant view of the disabled. I say the diner is even more respectable for inviting these men inot their establishment. So, yes I would recommend this diner. Come for the breakfast as a start and you must check out the Ribs, and the fish, and fries, oh and wraps, oooh and the shepard's pie, and SUNDAES! And if for some reason you happen to have a not so good night, their licensed so order acouple drinks! ha good eats, mmmm
