Meet the owner

By age 20, Alti Mae had it all planned out: he wanted to travel the world, meet the right woman, settle down and build a family. But a chance meeting changed everything. In the year 2000, he happened to be introduced to a group of friends with a penchant for spirituality. The connection was instantaneous, and as Alti learned about healthier living – for body, mind, spirit and the planet – his views on life changed, and so did his priorities. "I discovered my calling," recounts Alti.

The group went into business, running a restaurant until 2010, when they decided to relocate to Canada. “It's hard to put the finger on the exact reason, but when asked, we usually answer: ‘the tolerance, the space, the people, the weather, the vibe.'” As they settled in, the group also settled on a way to contribute their knowledge and passion for healthy living to Montrealers. In 2014, they founded Allons VERT, filling the shelves with their favourite natural, organic and eco-friendly products.
