Cycle Technique

Gilbert Ayoub, co-owner of Cycle Technique with his son Michael, is above all an accomplished athlete, or some might say a remarkable one, with the hundreds of triathlons, marathons and other races on foot and bicycle in which he has competed over several decades.

Gilbert has always been a sportsman — he's sailed a catamaran and windsurfed, played squash, skied, snowboarded, practised aikido and even played polo — before getting into mountain biking, which then led to a triathlon. Today, he is also a personal trainer for people of all ages who want to stay fit.

At its inception in 2004, Cycle Technique was a small bike shop on Notre-Dame Street that also offered maintenance and repair. Around 2010, Gilbert decided to breathe new life into his business. With a significant investment from a group of partners, the shop moved to Atwater Avenue, tripled its sales area and built a small complex dedicated to the triathlon.

With its shop, training rooms and coaching services, Cycle Technique has become a benchmark for triathletes and anyone who practises any of its disciplines: cycling, running or swimming.
