Hôtel Castel Saint-Denis is in the ideal location for travellers looking to experience downtown Montreal. It has been around since the 1980’s and new ownership has overseen the hotel since 2013. “We have a lot of tourists who come here and they stay because it’s a great location on Saint-Denis. They want to see one of the more interesting parts of the city,” says owner Saida.
The room options are split, with large dorm rooms available as well as private single rooms. “We don’t have suites per se, but most of the people who stay here aren’t long-term customers. It’s mostly tourists stopping briefly in Montreal,” says Saida. “People who are coming with their families or couples usually want that private room. As opposed to the younger travellers who don’t mind staying in bigger dorms.”
