The Early Days In Harriston

From curling on ponds and rivers in 1875, a split two-ice rink with natural light in 1877 at the new “Palace Rink”, to an upgraded two sheeter side by side at the “Palace Rink” in 1920, to the George Street skating – hockey shared facility in 1953, to the dedicated 4 sheeter presently at the arena complex on George Street in 1976.

Today, the Harriston Curling Club is continuously growing to meet the needs of an active curling community. The Club's strong focus on their historical roots, giving to the past – present – and future of the sport will ensure this tradition continues.

RENTAL INFORMATION

LOOKING TO HOST A WORK PARTY, BIRTHDAY OR EVENT?

Rental Fee $150 for ice and club room plus an additional bartender fee per hour.

Leagues

Monday Nights 7:30pm Start

This is a mixed social night, open to all members. Teams will be made up by the night's coordinator

Tuesday Nights 8:00pm Start

Mixed doubles league, open to all members.

Wednesday Nights 8:00pm Start

This is a competitive league open to male & female curlers, members or associate members. Entered teams have no restrictions applied to the make up of the team.

Thursday Nights 8:00pm Start

This is a fun social league, open to all members. New or experienced curlers with the emphasis on team social, and fun. Local teams with a mix of non-curler through to experienced instructors adds up to a fun evening out. Cost is $500 per team (HST included).
