Hailed puts cardamom in its coffee, which makes each cup so soothing and aromatic. And rather than pouring sugar in your coffee, you can pair it with dates for a sweet yet healthy alternative or enjoy it with Hailed’s line of chocolates.

You know that famous “Hi!” #selfeet you’ve seen all over the IG? That’s here. But there’s more cool vibes from this Dundas West café. There’s an ornate ceiling which came with the building, and the bare bricks and tiles add a relaxed touch to the place. It’s a popular spot amongst freelancers (there’s free Wi-Fi and ample amount of seating). The beans are from Pilot Coffee Roasters, which makes for a stellar cup of joe.

This Financial District café is famous for its lattes, with creative details like rainbow art. Try the Campfire Latte, a maple syrup blend topped with “roasted” (with a blowtorch) marshmallows. There’s also a great selection of teas – Versus makes its own chai in-house. If you’re hungry, try the delicious pastries and snacks like avocado toast. And the summer patio is just perfect, with lots of seats.

Sharing space with a flower shop, this Distillery District café is charming and fits in with the whole cobblestone vibe of the area – the interior is a rustic, chic open space with exposed brick. Arvo uses Calgary roasters Phil and Sebastian and makes the cutest hot cocoa for kids called Babyccino (it comes in a tiny cup), which you can get with a mini croissant. Check out the seasonal signature drinks like the Hot Date Latte, a soothing mix of pitted dates, spiced ginger and cinnamon. There’s also coffee tastings and music nights here – check Arvo’s social media for dates.

Located inside clothing store Kit and Ace in Yorkville, this coffee shop makes a delicious cup of joe. There is minimal seating, but people still tend to use it as a place to meet up one-on-one (because it’s just so chic). The menu is simple with the classics and there are a few pastries like croissants. If you get your cup to go, you’ll notice that the logo design on them change from time to time. It’s their way of collaborating with different emerging artists to showcase their work – pretty cool, huh?
