This classic setting overlooking the river and waterwheel complements the casual, fine dining perfectly. The patio has a great view and a casual menu. Inside the cozy fireplace is very romantic or you can get a very private dining room for business or family events. Food was excellent with good variety and local flavours. Definitely worth the short country drive for a complete night out experience. Not nearly as expensive as I thought.

After learning I would be dining alone tonight, I decided to try a tiny little place I had heard mentioned recently. My waiter was attentive, pleasant and quite knowledgeable about the food he was serving. The overall atmosphere was pleasing and would be the perfect setting for a romantic meal.
The choices offered, combined with the soothing surroundings peaked my curiousity enough that I decide for the second time in the evening to try something new.
I tried the Bison burger with Warm Potato salad. The server described it to me as a Bison burger with caramelized onions, smoked cheddar, truffle scented mushrooms and barbecue sauce.
Jake & Humphreys make all their own bread items that appear on their menu, the combination of the Bison, toppings on a fresh and soft bun, made the whole item a palate pleaser.
A nice glass of South African Cabernet Sauvignon enhanced what was already a sumptious dining experience.
I will be returning to the restaurant again, definitely a great place to dine, relax and enjoy.
Perhaps next time I will take someone with me or perhaps I will again go and enjoy another romantic meal for one!
Hopefully next time I have room for dessert as they looked promising!

I just ordered from kam yin for the first time tonight. Solely because I was lazy, it’s NYE and I did not want to drive cuz it was cold! lol
I was very surprised how good the food is, had the dinner for 4(a)
Not salty, the chicken balls where pretty much all chicken!!!!! The veg was crispy and cooked well! Only thing greasy( a lil was the wontons) but everything was way better than expected! If it was this good on NYE, I’ll Definitely be eating there again!!!!

We love The Keg and often celebrate special events there. This past Tuesday evening, we had such family celebration and had special requests to make. The staff at The Keg Waterloo not only received us but accommodated us in such a welcoming way that made the event a success! The food was above reproach as per usual but the service, outstanding! Great price & wonderful food. Best Mango Creme Brule ever - and what was that raspberry/chocolate sauce YUMM! Steaks were melt in the mouth.
