Started in 1975 by Lloyd and Connie Mercer, Mercer Seeds Ltd. has evolved into a full crop production and cleaning operation. Lloyd and Connie always focused on pedigreed seed and providing farmers with the best seed available. Now their son Ryan and his wife Annette, who were named Alberta?s Outstanding Young Farmers in 2010 operate the farm along with Ryan?s sister, Tammy and brother-in-law, Les Bolstad. Working together they run Mercer Seeds Ltd year-round. Between dry land farming and operating a seed cleaning plant, the families keep active in their community. Mercer Seeds Ltd. is a strong supporter of their church, schools, 4-H and promoting youth in agriculture. The grandchildren of Lloyd and Connie play an active roll in the farm.
