The last time I visited this place and paid for my massage, the debit machine prompted me to leave a tip! I see massage therapists as professionals, and as such, I am strongly opposed to asking for tips! This is a doctor's office for goodness sake. I am a dental hygienist. I am a professional. Where does it stop?? Should hygienists ask for tips? What about the lab technician who draws your blood at the lab? Should they ask for a tip if the patient was happy with their services?? Tipping is for minimum wage workers - not for professionals who make more than $30/hr. Some people would use the argument that it is the client's way of expressing their satisfaction for a service. If I am not satisfied with my massage therapist I will go somewhere else! That's my way of showing my unhappiness with their services. If they want more money, then raise your prices please. I am offended when asked for a tip by someone who doesn't make minimum wage.
