When he opened Lost in the 50’s Drive-in in 2012, owner Brian Tahririha had one thing in mind: authenticity. “People have been left with corporate food as their only choice for too long,” Brian says. “It was time for someone to start making homemade buns and fresh-cut fries an option.”
But authentic buns and fries aren’t all you’ll find at Lost in the 50’s Drive-in. The menu stretches to fish and chips, poutine, fresh baked desserts, and ice cream. And it can all be ordered beforehand so you can pick it up, hot’n’ready.
A trip down memory lane is tempting and if in this case it means revisiting the fabulous 50s, you’re in for a treat. The vintage neon sign, hailed as a city landmark, is the perfect backdrop for the indoor food counter and outdoor picnic seating. Pick and choose from an array of delicious beef and chicken burgers with fun names like Texas and Athena, all served with the works on homemade toasted buns.
