I just love the restaurant's atmosphere so much - energetic and welcoming. The food was excellent, fantastic Chicken Karaage! People who works there are friendly and super nice. I would totally go back again. If you don't want to line up outside for hours, just go when they open (weekdays at 5:30 and weekends at 5 for diner). Certain menu were a bit oily, but aside from that, I would say it was well worth the wait!
This guu is one of my favorite place in downtown.
you can enjoy many diffrent kind of dishes with good sake or beer.
I usually visit there once in a week and everytime I go there it's feel like I'm in a small and active izakaya in Tokyo.
Guu is not your typical Japanese restaurant with Box A,B,C or Sushi and Sashimi.
This is a different kind of Japanese cuisine. The presence of mostly more than 90% Japanese customers at this location shows how popular this restaurant is. We have brought many of our Japanese business partners to this restaurant and they were always very happy here. Service is very good. In summer they have also a very nice huge patio. It's more a tapas style food. We have ordered
by now the entire menu and every single dish was delicious. Also food presentation is very nice here.
I should mention that the restaurant is on the first floor and if you don't look for it, you will walk by for years without noticing it.
Highly recommended.

If you've never been, you need to make your way to Guu. The menu hasn't changed much over the five times I've gone but it's great for what it is.
They always are busy. Try right at opening times. They take reservations too. Nice Japanese food and seems to be a good value for the money and out of the ordinary. Not much Sashimi, but then I'm not a sashimi fan to begin.
