Last night my family came to Barney Gargles for dinner. When I took my 11 month old baby into the washroom, I did not see a change table anywhere. I was sure that there must be a family washroom or something because I couldn’t believe the only place to change her was on the counter right next to the sink where everyone washes their hands and where woman reapply make-up. That seems super unsanitary. ? I went and asked the server on the way out and she told me, “no we don’t have a change table”.
We try to get to Barney's every couple of weeks. The food is really good. I love the home made fries. Of course everything is home made. The desserts are fabulous although I usally have to take mine home. I have tried numerous items over the years and have never been disappointed. It's a good idea to make reservations for dinner. The place is always busy.

This is my favorite place to eat out, however, I keep meaning to start off with a dessert cause I usually don't have room for it after my meal cause you get plenty and it is so yummy. But the cheese cakes, the pies, the red velvet cake are out of this world. The serving pieces are huge too! You haven't lived until you have ate at Barney Gargles! I suggest that you make reservations because it is always full. We have tried the breakfast, it very reasonable and you get alot of food, have tried the lunch as well. Too bad we live two hundred miles away! But every month or two we make a trip to go there for a great meal. Try it, you'll be hooked.
This place is always busy. The building is something to see. Each area feels like you are in a different room in a old house. Service is wonderful. The food is something else. All homemade and a big plate full. Never have room for dessert, but always take some cake home. Extra large pieces and a great price. Have told several people to take a drive to Selkerk and stop at Barneys. Everyone is so nice, and friendly, even the customers waiting in line.
the building itself is something
