I have had a lot ...

I have had a lot of Chinese food and the food here is by far the best I have ever had. It is fast, inexpensive and delicious. Lunch specials are super cheap and portions are large. Chicken balls are mainly meat, fried wontons light crispy batter, eggrolls amazing, ribs to die for, flavorful rice, nice wonton soup. Friendly service and buffet of Friday and Saturday nights!

POOR Service start for 2014

I will NEVER be ordering from here again after waiting TWO hours for my order... I'm also NOT happy and when the lady Judy called (THREE TIMES I MIGHT ADD!) to offer free food...It just agitated me more I don't want free food... I want my wasted 2 hours back while myself and my kids went hungry!!!! Thanks... Happy New year!

Must-try Chinese restaurants in Halifax

For truly authentic Chinese food, New Wing Wah, south of Long Lake, is a great option outside the downtown core. You could hardly spend more than $15 per person if you tried, while the dishes – ranging from authentic (fried calamari and mapo tofu with Szechwan peppercorn) to Canadian-style adaptations (sweet and sour pork, ginger chicken) – are on par with anything on peninsula Halifax. Check out their buffet every Friday night if you want a little bit of everything.
