Place has gone down hill since new owners took over. It is so shabby and dirty looking in there. Food is terrible, not well cooked and no taste. Bar flies sitting around bar area are loud and obnoxious. Puts you off your food. Not a family friendly environment. Bartender was very loud and obnoxious as well. Also not very friendly to the patrons NOT sitting around the bar.
On their menu they have an option for Corn beef sandwich piled high. What they consider to be piled high is 2 small pieces of corn beef. Like to me piled high is what you would see on TV but this was a joke. I complained and they added 1 more slice of corn beef to half sandwich. Not coming back....
My food was luke warm, flavourless, and presented like a pile of slop.
I ordered a chicken curry and they somehow managed to screw up every part of the dish. The basmati rice was undercooked. It was served with stale Pita bread (not naan bread). The curry sauce was cold, tasted more like Ragu than curry, and for some reason, was served in a pita bowl on top of the rice (?). The chicken tasted like freezer-burn and had obviously been microwaved - but apparantly not long enough because in was barely luke warm.
DISGUSTING! I will never eat there again.
At least they didn't screw up the beer.

I have lived in the neighbourhood for years, but I just started going to the Fox for the occassional drink a couple of months ago. It wasn't what I expected. It was better. Now my wife and I go two to three times per week for supper. The homemade food is comforting and the portions are generous. It is an older crowd there (like ourselves), everyone is friendly and welcoming.
Went to the Slye Fox with my Hubby and we enjoyed chicken stir fry, curry and a coconut shrimp appetizer - I have to say, we were just looking for a quick bite and the quality of food & friendly atmosphere far exceeded our expectations for a casual, fun spot- the food was great and it was a warm welcome on a cold winter night. There was a trivia game going on which seemed like a lot of fun - we may come back and join in next time. Highly recommend, food was really good & well priced.

The first time my wife and I dropped by the Slye Foxe was just for a drink. We expected the food to be typical "Pub Fare", however after seeing what was being served we stayed for dinner.
Top marks to the Slye for an excellent quality and menu...
Not only did we middle age'rs enjoy it but we have had our two teen-age boys back since. Both Boys say they have the best Wings, and Nachos bar none in Burlington.
Will most definitely be back...especially with the two "food vacuums" (I mean teenagers).

We were at the Fox about a year ago and to be honest - it sucked. But new management, new staff and a fresh layout to the place - we thought we would try again. Our visit was on a Tuesday and let me tell you.... The FOX Rocks on its monthly Blues Night and i know that they have bands on Fridays and Saturdays too. I think the bands name was Shrimp Daddy and they sure work the crowd. Our food was served in a timely manner: After the starter, i had the St Louis Ribs full rack. Absolutely delicious but a BIG mistake.... i couldn't finish them all. Though my wife was happy to help me out. I couldn't have ribs without a guinness so i didn't - in fact i had a more than 1 (oops). The FOX is on our regular pub visits list now, friendly, tasty, rocking joint. Only downside is that we left it so long before going there the again.

Waitress was gorgeous and friendly but service was a bit slow. The AMAZING food made it well worth the wait. We'll be back!!! Thanks!!!
