We have gone here twice now and ordered the steak dinners. The visits were about 6 months apart - the results were "not bad". The second time we went we used a $10 coupon advertising a steak dinner. For the price, the meal was quite decent: a small steak cooked the way we wanted it (medium rare), evenly cooked baked potato, generous serving of sour cream, warm, fresh garlic bread, small salad. I've read the all previous reviews here and read a lot of inconsistent meals from T Bones. Folks: If you've had a poor experience, please let the waitress/waiter and the cook know, that night. There are civil ways of doing it too. The place could use a reno - it's a tired -looking place. But we will come back for any advertised specials!
I went to T-bones for a valentines day supper with my bf. It is a good thing he has a sense of humour after the experience we had. The menu was a valentines special with dessert included. We arrived at six and already one choice of potato was gone. Needless to say my soup was cold,my steak was undercooked and my chocolate explosion was non existent. You could say the only thing amusing was the entertainment of all the disappointed customers. We even met a few leaving in the parking lot without eating because of the wait. Smart people and still have 60 bucks in their pockets. I would not go to T-bones again and would not recommend it. The service was lousy the food was a joke and the place was freezing. We had read revues on other sites and I am not sure where they were at. Maybe I will heat up my hard old brownie i brought home later or maybe NOT.
The bread and Caesar salad were acceptable, but the steak wa so salty it was With the name of T-Bone you would think they would understand that salt sucks the juices (and tenderness) out of meat. It was absolutely the worst steak I have ever had......a joke for an establishment billing itself as a "steakhouse". The reviews on this web-site were good...all I can assume is that they were written by family and friends.
Visit was on August 2, 2008. We were very pleased with the food. It was done to our satisfaction. Would have liked to have had our bread basket while waiting for our dinners - it was brought at same time. Waitress not as attentive to drink refills as we would have liked. We took a family member here for a birthday dinner. We were not from Chatham, but T-Bones was recommended by someone else. Upon our arrival, had we not planned to meet others here, we probably would not have stayed. The outside appearance was very run down - summer planters totally dead, weeds all over property, etc. Had we just come upon it by driving by, we probably would have kept going. However, inside was nicely done and the dinner was good. Prices were reasonable and we would probably come again should the opportunity arise.
I loved the pasta dinner I had. It had bacon cheese alfredo sauce umm umm good My husband had the chicken it was stuffed with cheese .He really enjoyed it. My sister had the steak it was prefect med just I she order. My son had the kids dinner very large portion almost to much for a 4 year old . The only bad thing was was our waiter seemed more involved with talking with the other female staff then returning to check on our table for drink refills. A nice young lady came and refilled our drinks .We will return again to T-BONES for dinner
