I took a pair of dress shoes in for repair. The young gentleman explained how he would repair them so it would look good. He estimated a repair of about $30. I left them for a week as I wasn't in a hurry. When I picked them up he had done an excellent job. I was very pleased. The surprise was that the cost was only $22. I think that was very reasonable and that he prhaps spent less time than anticipated and didn't overcharge. I would recommend them and use their services in the future.
Quoted $40, 7 days for re-glueing soles, reattaching (with extensions) of detached straps. Not ready on due date. Knocked $5.00 off quoted price. Cannot fit foot in right shoe which looks like it was woven by a chimpanzee.
If they couldn't do it, should have been up front.
