A great find

I found out about this place by chance and the presentation was beautiful. Since then I have ordered take out a couple of times and each time it's been fresh and very good. After moving from Toronto, I didn't think that I would find a sushi place with the freshness and price, but I did. Cons are the location, but the delivery is fast and easy.

My New Sushi Place for Kingston

I only heard about this place last week and thus far I have been pretty disappointed with sushi in Kingston. Akira will be the restaurant I frequent every time I have a hankering for sushi. Pros: The fish was incredibly fresh. I havent tasted anything this good since I lived in Toronto. I mostly had basic sushi with white tuna, salmon, regular tuna etc. It was excellent. The maki rolls were good as well with nice balance of flavour and a good edible size. The tempura was light and not too greasy with a good variety of vegetables. Very nice atmosphere, spacious, well light and extremely friendly staff. I will go back in a heart beat and recommend it to all my friends who enjoy Japanese food. Cons: Price wise its about the same as everything else in Kingston. But you cant expect everything I guess.One other thing is that since its not down town you have to drive to get there unless you like a very long walk.
