Worst Service Provider
So many complaints about World Link Communications as an internet provider. I will begin with their lousy customer service. If you have any problems with your connection don't expect it to be resolved quickly. When I first purchased their services, the internet speed was so slow that you could not even stream a video without buffering delays. I remember using the internet speed test many times, and my download speed was in the range of 0.20-0.40 mbps (supposedly the speed was up to 6.0 mbps). I called them about this issue, and at first they said there was no problem with the internet speed, and they told me to just wait and it will be fine. The next day the same thing, so i called them back. I don't remember how long this went on for until they acknowledged that the speed was way slower than what was advertised. By the time the problem was resolved a month has nearly passed. The speed was faster but still never reaches anything past 4.0 mbps, but i was satisfied since the speed did improved more than 10 times of what it was. I experience chronic loss of service. The outage generally occurs after 11pm, coincidently that is when their office is closed. The outage lasts about 30 mins to 1 hour. After the service returns, my IP address changes to American for some reason. I've asked them about this too, but they said nothing is wrong. They told me to unplug my modem and replug it, which used to reset my IP to Canadian. However this issue is happening right now, and even after resetting my modem my IP address is not changing back. Having an American IP address is a problem, because it prohibits you from doing certain things on the internet that you can normally do as a Canadian. Please do NOT purchase or even consider purchasing their services, because you will regret it later. It is not worth the "savings" Also, i left out some details because my "review was too long".
