Our Head Chef, Igor has 30 years chef experience working for some of the best restaurants in Kiev, Ukraine. He has cooked for the Ukrainian government, army and the KGB during his career. We had a work social in Melody Restaurant. The event went beyond everyone's expectations: the food was unsurpassed, everything tasted amazing, the variety was impressive. The chef, Igor, has a real talant for cooking. Music and the atmosphere was great as well. I will definitely recommend to everyone as well as book this restaurant for future events. Big thanks to all the hardworking staff. It's the best Ukrainian restaurant I've been to.
All I have to say is that this is the best Russian restaurant in Toronto period. Prices, food and atmosphere everything was excellent. Special thanks to chef/owner Igor.

Although I never sat in to dine, but I have had take out 25 times and every time has been excellent food and service, the owner is extremely pleasant and always on time with my order. The food is extremely good, and always excellent quality.
This restaurant has cheap prices and a heap of rice but the quality is cheap and the servcie non-existant. Rude and careless and arrogant and people want to get cheap food
my boyfriend and i went for our one year. Personally i loved it all and my boyfriend said it was avg for a Russian restaurant since he has a Russian restaurant. The service was good accept they only spoke to him since he spoke russian and never once to me but it was still very good since they came back sveral times to make sure we were alright and so on. I would def. recomend this restaurant
My first visit to this restaurant was back in September 2006. My friend received good remarks about this restuarant and we decided to celebrate our dear friend's birthday there. The quality of their food was fantastic and every dish was made almost to perfection. I especially liked the roasted potatoes as side dish together with my favouriate lamb loin chops. We had a great time there!
Since then, I have been taking my other friends and relatives to this resturant. Our visit on January 11, 2007 should be the worst of all. We had a party of 15 and ordered many different dishes. The most popular entree was the New York Sirloin steak. Unfortunately, 3 out of 5 orders were over done. My favourite roasted potatoes tasted bland and looked greasy. Most of the people were disappointed and some had to ask for replacement as the meat was simply unpalatable.
Even worse is that when I talked to the chef/owner about my concerns toward the food quality, he stated that everyone makes mistakes. The steak didn't turn out good.. so be it...but he was willing to make another one for us...
I was so mad at him being so defensive. The only thing I wanted to say is that I will never go to this restaurant again. The good thing is that the party we had tonight was a family gathering. I cannot even imagine what the consequences are going to be if I were to bring business acquaintance there. Totally disappointed. I am serious. Neither my husband and I will go back again anymore!
