Have been here three times and usually is fine but the third (and last) time I went I found a band-aid in my noodles. I gave back the order and asked for the bill, but was charged the entire price. After calmly and politely telling the server that I would pay for the dumplings, but not the noodle dish (where I found the band-aid), the owner raised her voice at the server, would not look at me, would not speak English, and said I should only get a ten percent discount because I had eaten some of the dish before finding said foreign object. After politely repeating three times that I would pay for the appetizer but not the pasta, the owner kept saying we had eaten too much of the dish to get a larger discount but finally angrily agreed, rolled her eyes at me, and turned around. Though the service and atmosphere are great we will not be returning.
Rats or not I have never had a better dumpling in my life.... Rats are part of big cities, get over it and enjoy the dumplings .. I promise there are no rats in them!
Great dumplings! I order them often. I am a dumpling fanatic, and try them whenever I see them on a menu. This place takes the cake. The bonus: you can buy them fresh frozen and make them at your leisure.
Great food, great service, great great value. All the dumplings are made fresh, in house. Go there and stuff yourself with dumpling until you can hardly walk!
Best damn dumplings you can get in tdot. Ive been to China and had the real deal in shanghai, and these are damn good, sometimes better than the mainland.
Fresh tasty, dumplings. Good hot and sour soup and excellent cucumber salad. I would go back. Almost worth the 5hr drive from Ohio

A late-night serving of dumplings in Chinatown is not only a Toronto rite of passage, it’s also the swiftest way to feel like you’re smack in middle of 90s Rom-Com. If you’ve got the craving, make your way to this famed Spadina haunt. Grab a spot at the communal tables and commiserate about the windchill with fellow patrons, before warming up on a basket of pork buns or soup dumplings, or a green onion pancake. Open ‘til 11 every night of the week (except Tuesday – they’re closed), it’s the ideal locale for some late-night comfort food.
