I frequent this place often. Yes ..service is slow but well worth the wait. Portions are big, authentic and not expensive. If a place is full of Italians..then you know the food is great. I tried there new mini arancini (risotto balls) for the first time. Absolutely incredible!!! My wife and I had to order more. They were that good.

My experience with Desserts Plus has been incredible! The food is amazing and the portions are very very large. I ordered the chicken parm and penne with rosa sauce, which I would definetly recommend for anyone visiting this restaurant for the first time. The food was too much to finish in one sitting, which I did not mind at all as I would rather have that instead of being hungry after finishing my meal. The price was amazing for both the quantity and the quality of the food I was given. I would suggest faster service but it is understandable with the amount of people eating at the restaurant when I went. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone looking to have an amazing meal in a great environment and not wanting to take out a loan to pay for their meal. For the meal being offered, the price could be much higher, but the simple fact that it is still a reasonable price proves that this is still one of the "true italian restaurants", both in atmosphere and the mentality of good food for a low price, that is left in the GTA.
What a horrible experience! Reservation was not honored.Noone to greet you at the door for 20 minutes.People with no reservations were seated before those with reservations.Surly waiters.Food was very mediocre but plentiful.Calamari was rubbery,pizza had no taste,lettuce was wilted.Worst of all everyone was served at diffrent times.Pizzas arrived after the other people were halfway through their meal.Tip was automatically added to the bill so staff had no incentive to make any effort and they certainly didn't!!
good food, rough service,Reminds me of old family get togethers. Good restaurants actually cook there food so yes you have to wait a little longer. After a long weeks work-RELAX enjoy your company and your food, and if you have issues voice your opinion to the right people.Lively and loud just like the old days. I will be back.
