The Groupement forestier du Pontiac inc. (GFP) is a privately owned consulting and contracting firm with strong social commitments which has been active in its community since 1989. The GFP is one of 44 similar companies found throughout the province of Quebec and is a member of RESAM (a group of management societies). We have continually progressed and closely followed new developing sectors while remaining true to our field of activities, integrated forest management for our clients. We manage close to 25 000 hectares of woodlot for 250 private owners. We are an accredited agent to distribute the Financial Assistance Program for the Development of Private Woodlots (administered by the Agence régionale de mise en valeur des forêts privées outaouaises) which injects approximately 560 000 $ per year worth of various sylvicultural work in the region.
