Charcos promises the highest quality of chicken served in every meal. All our chickens are grain fed. We do not serve food that we won't serve to our own family. Rotisserie Charcos serves chicken that is completely delicious and 100% Halal.
When Abid Edanab and Sam Elhajj discovered in 2012 that a space at Bishop and de Maisonneuve was up for grabs, they jumped on the opportunity to turn it into a restaurant. “We're in the heart of downtown. We have Concordia University right across the street. We've got three big windows on our facade, which exposes us to all kinds of people,” says Abid.
For Abid and Sam, it was just the right time to open up their first restaurant, Rôtisserie Charcos. “We got along, we clicked,” says Abid about his relationship with his partner. They decided to open a restaurant that specializes in Portuguese-style rotisserie chicken, but also offers other menu items. “We thought it would be an edge for us,” says Abid. For students at Concordia and for business people working nearby, it soon became a favourite place to stop and enjoy an affordable, healthy lunch.
The philly cheese steak is much bigger than what I expected and actually pretty good, but their chicken burger is the best.
Chicken wrap is a bit small for the price but still good. Would like some better side options
The chicken is nicely grilled and tasty, but the sides need major improvement. The salad was wilted and the fries were under-cooked.
Also, it would help if the staff didn't look so depressed, as if they would rather be ANYWHERE but here serving you.
Though a fast food restaurant, Rotisserie Charcos doesn't downsize on taste and quality. Their chicken is greasy, tasty and flavourful. The service is super fast, making it easy for people in a hurry or families with small children to go there without any worries. Even better, they're located downtown on Bishop Street and also deliver to nearby areas. So if you're working near Place Ville-Marie and can't leave your office, but refuse to compromise on a good meal, this is the place to call.
